Your Downloads folder
tidies itself.

SortLoom watches the folders you choose and files every new download where it belongs — photos to Photos, invoices to Documents, installers to Setup. Nothing to remember, nothing to clean up on Saturday morning.

Screen recording: files are dropped into a folder and SortLoom immediately moves each one to its matching subfolder, then the moves appear in the history list.

Three steps, then zero

1

Pick the folder

Point SortLoom at Downloads, Desktop, or any folder. Subfolders too, if you want.

2

Set your rules

.jpg goes to Photos, .pdf goes to Documents. Match on file name, size or age — wildcards included.

3

It stays tidy

New files are sorted the moment they land. Watch it happen in the history log, or never think about it again.

Small tool, sharp edges

Watched folders

Downloads, Desktop, project folders — anything. Watch subfolders recursively or just the top level.

Rules that read like sentences

Every rule is a condition and a destination: "when a file is .pdf, move it to Documents." Chain them, order them, stop on first match.

Preview mode

New rules start in preview: they log what they would do, move nothing, until you switch them live.

Undo

Sorted something wrong? Undo puts the file back where it came from — one click, from the history page.

History you can search

Every move is logged: what, when, from where, to where. Search and filter it later.

Quiet by design

Starts minimized to the tray, no splash screen, no telemetry. It works while you forget it exists.

Questions people actually ask

Windows warned me when I ran the installer. Is it safe?

Yes. SortLoom is a new, unsigned application, so Windows SmartScreen shows an initial warning. Click More info, then Run anyway. We plan to buy a code-signing certificate once the product is established — until then this extra click is the price of not charging you a subscription.

What does the installer need?

SortLoom runs on the .NET 10 Desktop Runtime. The installer checks for it and points you to Microsoft's download page if it's missing — a one-time, two-minute install.

Which Windows versions are supported?

Windows 10 and Windows 11, 64-bit.

How do updates work?

Your license covers every 1.x update. To update, download the new installer from this site and run it — your folders, rules and history carry over.

Does SortLoom look at my files?

No. Everything — watching, matching, moving — happens on your PC. SortLoom has no telemetry and sends nothing anywhere. The only network calls are the license check with Lemon Squeezy, our payment provider.

What if it sorts a file wrong?

Undo it from the history page, then tighten the rule. Preview mode lets you test a rule on real files before it ever moves anything.
